New Developments in Asian Data Privacy Laws and their impact on business

With Professor Graham Greenleaf, Asia-Pacific Editor, Privacy Laws & Business International Report. He has worked with Privacy Laws & Business since attending PL&B’s 3rd Annual International Conference in 1991.

He has since 2006 provided consultancy advice to the European Commission on data privacy laws in 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. He has since 2011 researched the global survey of privacy laws published every 2 years by PL&B International Report.

This will be the fifth Asia-Pacific event organised by Privacy Laws & Business. His most recent book is Asian Data Privacy Laws: Trade and Human Rights Perspectives (OUP, 2014). He has unrivalled in-depth knowledge of privacy bills and the working of privacy laws in the region and their impact on businesses and consumers.

Adrian Fisher, Partner and Head of Privacy Practice, Linklaters, Singapore will also share practical insights into common issues the firm comes across most regularly.

The agenda will be driven by the issues and countries identified as being of most interest to the firms’ clients.

Registration Policy

  • Confirmation of registration is subject to receipt of full payment of your fees prior to the event.
  • Registration by email constitutes a firm booking and an undertaking to pay the full conference fee.
  • A VAT invoice will be sent to everyone who registers.
  • If you are unable to attend the conference for any reason, you may make substitutions at no additional charge but you must inform us in advance.
  • If you wish to cancel your booking, you must do this by 1 September 2018. Either an administration fee of 20% will be payable or you will receive a full credit towards another PL&B service. If full payment has already been made, the balance (less the administration fee) will be refunded.
  • If your cancellation notice is NOT received by 1 September 2018, you will be liable for payment of the full fee and will not be entitled to any refund.
